Very proud to announce the availability of 141 arrangements for brass quintet by The Chamberlain Brass. See catalog here. The Chamberlain Brass is a New York City based brass quintet that I founded in 2010 with a focus on background music for parties, weddings, cocktail hours, and other casual events. These arrangements were created by talented Chamberlain Brass trombonist/arranger Jayan Nandagopan. This collection has a mix of jazz, classical, and pop, but the primary goal of this collection is to enable a brass quintet to supply background music for events, such as 3-hr wedding receptions, cocktail parties, restaurant dinners, corporate events, etc. In my 25 years of playing in brass quintets I had found that most arrangements out there in the market are “show pieces” that work well for concerts and recitals, but really don’t work well as background music. So, to compete with all those working jazz quartets and DJs out there – Jayan and I created these 141 arrangements. These arrangements are simple, solid, playable arrangements for where the trumpets get chop breaks and the melody is spread around the group. Many of the jazz arrangements have solos over chord changes, but most of the jazz charts have written-out solos. See full catalog here (paid & free). Free catalog is here.
